Club Med, the pioneer of the all-inclusive
vacation concept, has officially announced Club Med Tremblant, its second
resort in Canada. Set to be developed in the Mont-Tremblant region, the new
property marks a significant milestone in the brand’s strategic growth plan in
North America, following the success of Club Med Québec Charlevoix, which
opened in 2021.
As part of the project, Club Med has signed an
important financing and long-term management agreement with the French
management company Alderan. Under this agreement, Club Med will operate the
resort and oversee its development. The land on which the resort will be built
was purchased by Alderan on behalf of the SCPI Comète fund.
Scheduled to open in December 2028, Club Med Tremblant
will be designed as a modern Alpine lodge. The concept, harmonized with the natural
landscape of the Laurentian region, will offer a warm, refined and premium
four-season vacation experience.
Carolyne Doyon, President and CEO of Club Med North
America & the Caribbean, commented on the new resort: “Canada is one of the
key markets in our North American growth strategy. We are thrilled to offer our
guests an authentic, premium and fully all-inclusive mountain experience with
Club Med Tremblant.”
A Rich Experience for Families and Active
Travelers
Club Med Tremblant will offer a wide range of services
tailored to families, couples and active travelers, including:
• Direct access to the slopes and daily lift passes
• Gourmet restaurants inspired by Alpine gastronomy
• Age-specific Kids Club programs for children from 4
months to 17 years
• Summer activities such as hiking, water sports and
nature excursions
• A world-class spa and wellness experience
• Personalized and warm service by Club Med’s
signature multicultural GO team
Contribution to the Regional Economy and a
Sustainability-Focused Approach
The project is expected to make a strong contribution
to tourism and employment in the Mont-Tremblant region. The resort is projected
to create around 300 direct and a similar number of indirect jobs. Club Med
Tremblant is also being designed in line with sustainability principles and
will be a candidate for LEED and Green Globe certifications.
As part of the development, Club Med has also signed
cooperation agreements with Station Mont Tremblant. This collaboration includes
enhancements to the ski school and mountain infrastructure, paving the way for
new developments in the area.
Patrice Malo, President of Station Mont Tremblant,
expressed his views on the partnership: “We are proud to welcome the
internationally renowned Club Med brand to Tremblant. This major project will
enhance our destination’s four-season appeal and strengthen our international
reach. The combination of Tremblant’s dynamic energy and Club Med’s global
strength will provide a strong premium product that diversifies tourism demand
in the region.”
A Strong Step in Canada’s Growth Strategy
Club Med, which has achieved significant growth in
Canada, aims to further strengthen its presence in North America with the
Tremblant investment. The brand’s first Canadian resort, Club Med Québec
Charlevoix, has welcomed more than 130,000 guests in four years and reached an
average occupancy rate of 80%, demonstrating the brand’s rapidly rising
momentum in the region. Following this strong performance, Club Med Tremblant is
expected to make a substantial contribution to regional tourism, international
appeal and the brand’s leadership in premium mountain vacations.
