Rixos Egypt positions Sharm El Sheikh as the new destinaton for Indian Weddings

With its visionary approach to destination management, Rixos Egypt is transforming Sharm El Sheikh into one of the world’s new global centers for international weddings and mega events. The three-day international Indian wedding held at Rixos Radamis Sharm El Sheikh marked a new era for regional tourism with its scale and global impact.

Approximately 600 distinguished guests from around the world traveled to Sharm El Sheikh for the event via 10 private jets and two large charter flights. Throughout the organization, all 26 villas at the Club Privé by Rixos area, along with all suites and upper-segment accommodation categories of the hotel, were exclusively reserved for this event.

For three days, Rixos Radamis hosted a full-scale global destination event, featuring high-capacity venues, beachfront stages, and dedicated production areas. One of the most striking moments of the celebration was a spectacular visual show created by 500 drones performing a synchronized choreography in the sky for 15 minutes.

Preparations began months in advance and were carried out through the collaboration of numerous international companies from Egypt, Dubai, the United Kingdom, and France. From stage designs and technical infrastructure to visual effects and logistics, every detail was brought to life through an intensive, around-the-clock production process.

Feedback received after the event revealed that Sharm El Sheikh is no longer merely an alternative destination for Indian weddings, but has now become a destination brand in its own right. At least five families from within the same group have already expressed their intent and demand to host their children’s weddings at Rixos Radamis Sharm El Sheikh in the near future.

Having previously hosted heads of state, international summits, and concerts by global stars such as Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias, Rixos Radamis once again demonstrated with this organization that Indian weddings have become a strategic product of its destination management vision.

Commenting on the event, Rixos Egypt CEO Erkan Yıldırım said: “At Rixos, we are no longer just operating hotels; we are creating destinations on a global scale. Six hundred distinguished guests from around the world fully reserved our hotel’s top-tier accommodations, from Club Privé by Rixos villas to all of our suites. Following this event, at least five families from the same group have already expressed their desire to host their children’s weddings here. In the coming period, we will continue to bring much larger international events with even stronger visual productions to Sharm El Sheikh.”

Rixos Egypt continues to elevate Sharm El Sheikh to an even higher position on the global destination map by attracting high-profile weddings and exclusive events from international markets, particularly from India.
