The Queen Elizabeth 2, continues to welcome guests as a hotel

One of the world's most legendary passenger ships, the Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2), stands among Dubai's iconic tourist attractions. This iconic ship, which left its mark on an era, welcomes guests as a floating hotel, museum, and event center at Port Rashid (Mina Rashid) after undergoing extensive restoration.

Launched in England in 1969, the QE2 hosted thousands of voyages over nearly 40 years, from transatlantic crossings to world cruises, before ending its active maritime life in 2008. Brought to Dubai, the ship was renovated while preserving its original architecture and historical fabric, opening its doors as a hotel in 2018.

Today, the QE2 Hotel offers a unique accommodation experience that combines maritime history with modern comfort. The ship features over 200 rooms and suites, ranging from classic cabins to royal suites. Original ship details are preserved alongside an interior design that reflects the elegance of the era, while guests are provided with contemporary hotel standards.

One of the key sections of the QE2, the Heritage Exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with the ship's glorious past. The exhibition area features photographs, objects, and multimedia content from the QE2's golden age. In addition, the ship hosts meeting rooms, event spaces, a spa, and sections dedicated to cultural and artistic events.

Adding a different dimension to Dubai's tourism vision, Queen Elizabeth 2 stands out as one of the rare projects that combines luxury, history, and experience-oriented tourism. QE2 is not just a place to stay for tourists visiting Dubai, but also a special destination that brings together the past and the present.
