easyJet to launch London Gatwick to Newquay flights for summer 2026

easyJet has announced it will operate flights between London Gatwick and Newquay this summer.

The inaugural flight will take off on 23 June 2026 and operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The new route will strengthen direct domestic connectivity between London and the South East and Newquay, whether for a coastal getaway, visiting friends and family, or onward connections across Europe and beyond, while also supporting Cornwall’s visitor economy for those looking to explore everything the region has to offer.

Kevin Doyle, easyJet UK Country Manager, said: “We are delighted to be launching flights from London Gatwick to Newquay this summer, providing even greater connectivity for customers in London and the South East wishing to explore Cornwall. The new route will not only offer direct links to the South West but will also provide access to Europe and beyond through our leading short-haul network, while continuing to support Cornwall’s important visitor economy. In our 30th year we remain committed to providing even more choice, all with great value fares, and we look forward to welcoming more customers on board this summer.”

Nigel Scott, Commercial Director, Cornwall Airport Newquay, said: “We’re very pleased to welcome this new London Gatwick service with easyJet for the peak summer season. Demand for Cornwall continues to grow, particularly from the South East, and this route provides an affordable and convenient way for visitors to access the region during one of our busiest periods. Building on the strong performance of easyJet’s Manchester route over the past two summers, this new service further strengthens our partnership. The Saturday service opens up new leisure connections via Gatwick, with opportunities to align with easyJet holidays, and we look forward to working together to maximise this potential.”

Earlier this week, the airline launched its 11th UK base and continues to grow across the UK regions, with eight new Airbus A320 family aircraft joining its UK-based fleet in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Newcastle. This growth is strengthening vital UK connectivity for both holidaymakers and the more than five million customers travelling for business, while supporting thousands of jobs.
