The engine of a plane caught fire in the USA: 282 passengers evacuated

It was reported that 282 passengers were evacuated after the engine of a plane about to take off from Orlando International Airport in the US state of Florida caught fire.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Delta Airlines made a statement regarding the engine of the ‘Airbus A330’ model aircraft catching fire. In the statement, it was noted that one of the two engines of the plane with 282 passengers caught fire shortly after the plane left Orlando International Airport for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in the state of Georgia.

First aid and fire brigades at the airport responded to the fire after the engine caught fire from the exhaust pipe, the statement said, adding that 282 passengers were evacuated with emergency slides. The FAA launched an investigation into the incident, in which no one was killed or injured.
