ABTA has officially welcomed Domes
Resorts, a luxury hospitality group with properties across Greece and Portugal,
as its first-ever Hotel Partner, marking a significant development of the ABTA
Partnership programme.
Bringing hotels into the Partnership programme is a
natural evolution of the scheme, with ABTA now including hotel brands alongside
long-standing Partners such as airlines and tourist boards, while ensuring a
diverse and balanced offer for ABTA members.
ABTA’s Partnership programme connects companies
providing specialist services, products and expertise for the travel sector
with ABTA’s members. This new category gives hotels which want to grow sales
through the UK travel trade the chance to build important relationships with
the UK’s leading travel agents and tour operators.
Domes joins the other 160 companies in ABTA
Partnership spanning a range of sectors. As well as hotels, airlines and
tourist boards, they include companies which provide legal and financial
services. ABTA members gain privileged access to Partner services, such as
special offers and valuable insight reports, while Partners enjoy a range of
benefits, such as marketing support, travel industry insights and networking
opportunities.
Hotel Partners will also be able to benefit from free
access to ABTA’s Tourism Accommodation Health & Safety Technical Guide,
plus discounted membership of the Travelife for Accommodation sustainability
certification programme.
The Domes portfolio spans luxury, lifestyle, and
family-or-adult-friendly properties in top destinations including the Algarve
and several of Greece’s most sought-after islands. The brand is known for its
curated experiences, high service standards, and strong collaboration with the
UK market, catering to couples, families, and high-end travellers alike.
Claire Biddle, Commercial Director at ABTA, says: “Partners
are a vital part of our business. They benefit from privileged access to ABTA
members, whilst our members get trusted, vetted suppliers who understand the
trade and support their sales. We’re excited to launch this new category with
Domes Resorts and look forward to welcoming more hotels looking to build strong
relationships with the UK travel industry.”
Dr George Spanos, CEO at Domes Resorts, added: “This
is a moment of great pride and excitement for all of us at Domes Resorts. Becoming
ABTA’s first Hotel Partner is not only a milestone for our brand but a powerful
testament to the trusted relationships we’ve built with the UK travel trade
over the years, and our ongoing efforts to raise standards, increase
transparency, and build long-term relationships. Domes will continue innovating
and growing trust with partners and guests.’’
ABTA plans to expand the category by welcoming more
Hotel Partners that are actively looking to strengthen their relationship with
the UK travel industry, gain visibility in the outbound market and grow their
bookings through ABTA members.
