Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg, Dolce by
Wyndham, opens its doors in Denmark's fourth largest city.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has opened the newly
renovated Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg, Dolce by Wyndham hotel.
First opened in 1969 and acquired by Comwell Hotels in
2014, the hotel has long been one of Aalborg’s key event venues. Now part of
the Dolce by Wyndham brand, the hotel joins its sister properties in Aarhus,
Copenhagen, and Odense.
Aalborg, Denmark's fourth-largest city, is among the
world's 20 happiest cities.
Dimitris Manikis, President of Wyndham Hotels &
Resorts EMEA, said, "Our lifestyle brand Dolce, which provides hotel
owners with a strong commercial advantage and offers the experiences today's
travelers demand, continues to shine across EMEA. As demand for activity-filled
‘coolcation’-style vacations grows, Denmark and other Nordic countries will
continue to hold their place on travelers' itineraries. Comwell Hvide Hus
Aalborg is one of the city’s most established hotels, and following its
transformation, it now offers a new and unique accommodation experience for
everyone from cultural and gastronomic explorers to conference attendees and
creative teams.”
Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg has 198 renovated rooms and
13 conference rooms spread over four floors, which can accommodate a total of
365 guests. Restaurant Vesterbro, with its modern “green kitchen,” and the
fitness center on the top floor of the hotel offer panoramic views of the city.
Comwell Hotels Commercial Director Michael Hansen
said, "Aalborg is known as one of the happiest cities in the world, and we
are eager to welcome our guests to our renovated hotel at the heart of this
dynamic city. We have signed our fourth partnership with Wyndham Hotels &
Resorts. This partnership offers us the exclusivity of the Dolce brand, which
meets the demand for volume, support, and experience-focused travel worldwide.
As we continue to expand our presence in Denmark, we see them as an ideal
partner for Comwell."
The Dolce by Wyndham brand has seen rapid growth in
Europe in recent years, with openings in countries such as France, Italy, and
Spain, and new hotels are also in the pipeline. The brand entered the Turkish
market last year with the opening of Dolce by Wyndham Çeşme Alaçatı, offering
hotel owners and developers the opportunity to join a collection of hotels
distinguished by unique destinations, distinctive cuisines, and first-class
event spaces.
