Footage from the incident shows a nearby staff member narrowly avoiding the collapsing front section of the aircraft.
In a statement from Fraport, the operator of Frankfurt Airport, it was noted that the incident occurred on the tarmac around 12:45 p.m. local time. The statement indicated that details, including whether there were any injuries, are currently being investigated.
New York-based news agency Bloomberg News reported that there were no passengers on board the aircraft at the time of the incident.
