This year's The Peninsula Classics Best of
the Best Award ceremony took place in a magnificent atmosphere at The Peninsula
Paris, with distinguished guests including world-renowned actress Nicole Kidman
in attendance. This prestigious award, presented at The Peninsula Paris, honors
the world's most distinguished and rare classic cars.
The Peninsula honors the 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B,
captivating with its timeless elegance, as the winner of the prestigious The
Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award. This highly exclusive award is
selected from a distinguished collection of automobiles meticulously chosen
from among those awarded top honors at the most prestigious concours events of
the previous year.
Alfa Romeo qualifies for consideration after winning
the Best of Show award at The Amelia in 2025. The car is honored with The
Peninsula's highest accolade at a magnificent ceremony held at The Peninsula
Paris on January 26, 2026. This dazzling evening, attended by internationally
renowned celebrities, also features world-famous actress Nicole Kidman among
the guests.
The owner of the winning 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B,
Deborah Keller, on behalf of The Keller Collection: "I am deeply honored
and delighted to accept The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award. This
unique automobile represents the golden age of Italian automotive design and
craftsmanship, and every time I see it, it reminds me why such magnificent cars
deserve to be preserved and celebrated."
Following the award ceremony, the winning car will be
exhibited at the prestigious classic car show Rétromobile in Paris from January
28 to February 1, 2026.
The other six distinguished cars competing for the
award include the 1934 Alfa Romeo Tipo B, the 1954 Ferrari 375 MM, the 1996
Ferrari F50 GT, the 1936 Mercedes-Benz 500K Spezial Roadster, the 1926
Rolls-Royce Phantom I, and the 1951 Bentley Mark VI Cresta II.
The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award 2025
jury includes legendary sports car designer and manufacturer Gordon Murray,
Ford Motor Company executive Henry Ford III, and Italian car designer Fabio
Filippini. World-renowned television host Jay Leno and prominent collectors
from international royal families are also among the jury members.
