Helmut Wölfel has been appointed Commercial Director of SunExpress as of September 16, 2024. Wölfel will take over as Chief Commercial Officer from Peter Glade, who has made a significant contribution to the company's success for eight years and will step down at the end of October.
Wölfel will be responsible for managing the airline's commercial strategy, focusing on expanding SunExpress' flight network, further enhancing the customer experience and providing faster and more efficient services through the integration of advanced technologies.
Helmut Wölfel, who has more than 25 years of experience in the aviation industry, has been Commercial Director of Discover Airlines since 2021. Prior to this, Wölfel held various management positions within the Lufthansa Group, including Head of Internal Control of Human Resources and Information Technology, Vice President of Intercontinental Network Planning and Vice President of the Munich Trade Center.
