The TUI Musement study based on Google searches reveals the 10 European cities from which day trips are most frequently searched.
For many travellers, a city break no longer ends at
the city limits. Day trips are now a natural extension of a stay in a major
city, offering the opportunity to discover scenic landscapes, charming towns or
cultural landmarks within easy reach of major urban destinations.
This interest is reflected in the latest study by TUI
Musement, a leading provider of tours and activities, which analysed Google
search volumes to identify the European cities from which travellers most
frequently search for day trips*.
From London to Athens, Rome to Barcelona, the ranking
features 10 cities that not only stand out for their cultural appeal, but also
serve as ideal starting points for exploring nearby destinations within a
single day.
