It has been reported that five Italian tourists lost their lives in an accident while scuba diving in the Maldives.

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a group of five Italians attempting to explore caves at a depth of 50 meters underwater were involved in an accident during their scuba diving trip and lost their lives. Italian media reported that the body of one person was recovered in the initial phase following the incident, and efforts to recover the other four are ongoing.
