A Bering Air plane with 10 people on board disappeared over Alaska.
A Bering Air plane traveling in the US state of Alaska mysteriously disappeared in mid-air. Authorities launched a search operation after the plane failed to land at the expected time. The plane was traveling from Unalakleet to Nome and had nine passengers and a pilot on board, and an active ground search was launched, the statement said. “We are currently conducting a ground search from Nome and White Mountain. Aerial searches are limited due to weather conditions and visibility. National Guard, Coast Guard and Police Teams have joined the search efforts.”
Local authorities urged the public to refrain from forming their own search parties due to the extreme weather conditions, fearing that the plane may have gone missing.
