Editorial Policy

The standards that govern how Tourism Today News reports, sources, labels and publishes news.

1. Independence

Editorial decisions are made by the newsroom alone. Advertisers, sponsors and commercial partners have no influence over what is covered or how it is covered. The editorial team and the advertising department operate separately.

2. Sourcing and Attribution

We name our sources. News based on wire services (e.g. Reuters, AFP, DHA), industry bodies (WTTC, IATA, UNWTO, ABTA) or other publications is attributed to the originating source in the article. Company announcements and press releases are identified as such. Where information cannot be independently verified, we say so.

3. Accuracy and Verification

Figures, dates and names are checked against primary documents wherever possible. We do not publish speculation, rumour or unverified social media claims as fact. Significant claims about a company or person are put to that party before publication when practicable.

4. Corrections

When we get something wrong we correct it promptly and transparently. See the Corrections Policy for how to report an error and how corrections are displayed.

5. Sponsored and Advertising Content

Paid content is clearly labelled “Sponsored” or “Advertisement” and is visually distinguished from editorial content. Sponsored articles are not written by the news desk. Advertising options are described on the Advertising page.

6. Conflicts of Interest

Journalists disclose any financial or personal interest in the subjects they cover. Travel, accommodation or hospitality provided by third parties for reporting purposes is disclosed in the relevant article.

7. Use of AI Tools

Automated tools may assist with translation, transcription, summarisation and layout. Every article is reviewed by an editor before publication, and responsibility for the content rests with the editorial team named on the Masthead.

8. Images and Copyright

Images are used under licence, with permission, or under applicable fair-use rules, and are credited. Rights holders who believe their material has been used improperly can contact us via the Contact page.

9. Reader Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
