The alert level has been raised to orange in 21 departments across France due to a new heat wave.
The French meteorological agency, Météo-France, announced that an “orange alert” has been issued for 21 departments, most of which are located in the south of the country. It also noted that a “high” wildfire risk alert has been issued for 29 departments, while the wildfire risk in the departments of Moselle and Meurthe-et-Moselle is classified as “very high.”
