Vietnam, home to the renowned island retreat of Phu Quoc, is setting its sights on a 31% increase in international visitors compared to 2024 figures.

Vietnam is targeting 23 million international visitors this year, surpassing pre-pandemic tourist numbers, as stated on the official government website of the Southeast Asian nation.

According to BMI Research, the country’s tourism sector is projected to achieve full recovery by 2025.

In 2024, Vietnam welcomed 501,000 visitors from India. Over the past two years, the number of Indian travelers to Vietnam surged 2.6 times, establishing India as one of Vietnam’s fastest-growing tourist markets, the report highlighted.

Vietnam recorded 17.5 million international arrivals last year, reflecting a 39.5% increase compared to 2023, according to an official statement. Travelers from Asia made up approximately 80% of these visitors.
