The Peninsula London announces two new Peninsula Academy experiences

2 min read

The Peninsula London is introducing two new Peninsula Academy programs that offer guests the opportunity to experience London’s history, culture, and lifestyle up close. These specially designed experiences, led by personal guides, offer even guests who have visited the city many times the chance to see London from a different perspective.

Each of these exclusive experiences highlights a different facet of the city, providing guests with a deeper insight into London’s heritage and hidden stories. These select programs, available for both adults and children, once again demonstrate The Peninsula London’s superior guest experience and commitment to impeccable service, redefining the standards of luxury accommodation in one of the world’s most sophisticated cities.

The first program is a special experience inviting guests to discover the art of calligraphy in collaboration with British stationery manufacturer Yard-O-Led.

Guests bring pen to paper as they learn the fundamental strokes, letterforms, and single-stroke calligraphy techniques of this timeless art. Transported to Yard-O-Led—located in the historic Piccadilly Arcade—via The Peninsula London’s private fleet, participants step away from the pace of daily life and surrender to the rhythm of the pen on paper. This elegant experience aims to inspire guests and help them reconnect with the joy of handwriting.

Following the experience, guests return to The Peninsula London in the hotel’s iconic Peninsula Green vehicles. The program concludes with a special cocktail inspired by Yard-O-Led, served at the Brooklands Bar, accompanied by views of London. Additionally, each guest receives a complimentary set of stationery to commemorate the experience.

The doors of Tuthill—one of Britain’s most prestigious automotive workshops—are opened exclusively for guests of The Peninsula London. As part of this exclusive visit to Tuthill’s workshop—renowned worldwide for its bespoke Porsche projects and rally championships—guests enjoy a private tour guided by a senior member of the Tuthill team. During the tour, guests get a close-up look at the production areas, manufacturing sections, and vehicles in the development phase, offering a unique insight into how these iconic cars are reimagined.

The program continues with lunch served at The Orangery within the 400-year-old Aynhoe Park estate—designed by the English architect Sir John Soane—set amidst the tranquil countryside of Oxfordshire. Here, guests enjoy the natural surroundings while reflecting on their morning’s experiences. For automotive enthusiasts seeking a more immersive experience, high-performance simulator training at one of Tuthill’s racing partners can be added to the program upon request.
