Emirates and Real Madrid have extended their partnership through 2031

2 min read

Emirates, one of the world’s largest international airlines, and Real Madrid CF, one of the world’s most successful football clubs, have renewed their partnership, extending one of the most prestigious sponsorship agreements in the football world through 2031.

Emirates has maintained a strong and successful partnership with Real Madrid since 2011. The partnership, which was further strengthened in 2013 when the airline became the club’s official jersey sponsor, will continue for the next five seasons under the new agreement.

Under the renewed agreement, Emirates will continue to serve as the Official Main Sponsor and Official Airline Partner of Real Madrid’s men’s and women’s football teams. The Emirates logo will continue to appear on player jerseys, training gear, and staff uniforms. The sponsorship will cover all major competitions, including La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.

The agreement will not be limited to jersey sponsorship alone. While the Emirates brand will maintain its visibility throughout Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, access to the club’s training facilities and Emirates Lounge privileges will also be key elements of the partnership. The Emirates Lounge stands out as an exclusive hospitality area where the airline brings its premium service philosophy to its loyal customers and business partners. The partnership also extends to Real Madrid’s youth teams. This not only contributes to the development of young talent but also strengthens Emirates’ long-term commitment to the future of football.

The new agreement also reinforces Emirates’ presence in basketball. Accordingly, Emirates will serve as the Official Main Sponsor of the Real Madrid Basketball Team through 2031.

Boutros Boutros, Emirates’ Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, Marketing, and Brand, commented on the agreement, saying: “At Emirates, we have been supporting football for many years, connecting with millions of people and bringing communities together through a shared passion for the game. The relationship we have built with Real Madrid is one of the strongest examples of this commitment. We put fans at the heart of the game, create unforgettable moments for them, and inspire a new generation of fans and athletes. As our relationship with Real Madrid has grown stronger, so has our presence in Spain. Since our first flight to Madrid in 2010, we have reached a daily capacity of five flights to Barcelona and Madrid, added new destinations to our network through our robust connectivity via Dubai, and demonstrated our long-term commitment to the Spanish market by offering our passengers the latest Emirates products.”
