Euroairlines and Fastjet have signed a commercial agreement that expands connectivity between Europe and several destinations in Southern and Eastern Africa through the African airline’s network.
The agreement enables flights operated by Fastjet to be marketed under its FN code and issued through Euroairlines’ Q4 IATA plate, facilitating access to the main Global Distribution Systems (GDS), including Amadeus and Sabre.
Antonio López-Lázaro: “Fastjet’s flights are now available through Euroairlines’ international distribution channels, making it easier for travel agencies and passengers to access a broader range of destinations in countries such as Zimbabwe and South Africa ahead of the peak summer season.” The partnership is focused on passenger transport and reinforces Euroairlines’ international expansion strategy. “Fastjet is an airline with a strong regional presence and an in-depth understanding of its market. This collaboration expands our value proposition for travel agencies and travellers by adding new destinations and enabling more efficient connections between continents.”
The addition of Fastjet represents a significant improvement in regional connectivity across Africa, making it easier to combine itineraries and access destinations that have so far had lower visibility in European markets.
This network expansion also comes at a key time for the tourism industry, coinciding with the peak summer season, when demand for international travel and alternative destinations increases.
With this partnership, Euroairlines strengthens its global network of airline agreements across different continents and consolidates its position as one of the leading specialists in international air distribution, while bringing new travel opportunities to passengers around the world.
