Turkish Airlines (THY) completed the longest flight in its history for the Juventus delegation. The nonstop flight from Perth, Australia, to Turin, Italy, reportedly lasted 16 hours and 26 minutes.

The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, registered as TC-LJE, which was used as part of Juventus’s training camp in Australia, picked up the delegation in Perth and flew nonstop to Turin. The aircraft, carrying the Juventus delegation—which included national team players Kenan Yıldız and Zeki Çelik—completed the approximately 14,000-kilometer route, setting a new record for flight duration among the flag carrier’s operations to date. This surpassed the previous record set by Turkish Airlines in 2016 for the Istanbul-Santiago flight, which lasted 16 hours and 15 minutes.

The Perth-Turin flight surpassed the previous record by 11 minutes, going down in the flag carrier’s history as its longest nonstop flight. Juventus won the Derby d’Italia match against Palermo in Perth with a score of 2-0. The Black-and-Whites’ goals were scored by national team player Kenan Yıldız and Milik.
